Running for District 2 — serving all of Clarendon County. Delaney Kay Frierson is carrying forward three decades of dedicated service, fighting for better infrastructure, stronger families, and economic opportunity across every corner of our county.
Delaney Kay Frierson is a devoted educator, community leader, and lifelong advocate for the people of Clarendon County. A native of Houston, Texas, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Prairie View A&M University and has called Clarendon County home for over 45 years.
During her distinguished 39-year career in education, Mrs. Frierson served as a high school Business Education teacher, District Career Specialist, Director of State and Federal Accountability, and Principal of Hemingway M.B. Lee Middle School. She currently represents the Third Judicial Circuit on the South Carolina State Board of Education.
As the wife of the late Councilman Rev. William James "W.J." Frierson Sr., who faithfully served District 2 for 30 years, Delaney carries forward a legacy of integrity, compassion, and tireless service to every corner of this community. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the National Council of Negro Women.

Clarendon County's roads and infrastructure deserve investment. We will fight for better-maintained roads, improved drainage systems, expanded broadband access, and the infrastructure our growing community needs to thrive.
Our youth deserve safe, enriching spaces to grow. We will advocate for expanded recreation programs, community centers, after-school activities, and family-friendly spaces that strengthen the bonds of our community.
Clarendon County families deserve economic opportunity close to home. We will work to attract new businesses, support local entrepreneurs, create job training programs, and build a stronger economic future for District 2.

Polls open 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM at all District 2 precincts: Alcolu, Bloomville, Davis Station, Home Branch, Jordan, Manning, Paxville & Wilson-Foreston
If no candidate receives a majority on March 10, a runoff election will be held. Stay engaged and ready.
The Democratic and Republican primary winners face off. This is the final vote to fill the District 2 seat.
